3. Follow Up -- Return-to-Work Case Management

The Workplace Medical Corp. Return-to-Work Case Management serves to follow up on the absences flagged as requiring medical attention to ensure the timely return of fully trained employees.

For longer, more complex medical time loss cases our nurse case manager helps facilitate and support the return to work process by:

  • Early intervention
  • Follow-up on Short Term Disability cases to ensure proper care and timely return to work
  • Initiate and co-ordinate independent medical exams, ergonomic assessments, functional abilities exams
  • Provide support and information for adjudicators
  • Liaison between employer, employee and the medical community

Unlike traditional disability management services, our program is focused on providing hands-on assistance to ensure proper care and timely return to work – not on adjudication and facilitation of insurance claims.
